    NOTIFICATION OF BURNING: Before burning please call the fire department which serves your district:

    Benton Township Fire Dept.: 925-3958

    Watervliet Fire Dept.:  463-4233

    Sister Lakes Fire Dept.: 424-3145

    You will need to provide the following information:  name, address, phone number, township of residence, location, date and time you are burning.  A map of your fire district is also located in the posting board outside the Township Hall.

    You are responsible for the cost of a fire run whether the equipment is needed or not.   Please contact your insurance agent to make certain your homeowner’s policy includes a minimum of $1,500 for fire run protection.
